Fordney Foundation partners with American DanceWheels!

In 2002, Marilyn Fordney created the Fordney Foundation to help children and young adults learn and benefit from ballroom dancesport. Originally, the Foundation began sponsoring large national ballroom dance competitions. For the past 5 years, after moving to Agoura Hills, she and her husband decided to bring ballroom dance into local elementary schools with a program entitled "Dancing With Our Local Schools."

In 2013, a new dancesport series was launched at the Ohio Star Ball to form the Fordney Foundation Junior and Youth DanceSport Series, including a Junior and Youth Team Match. The series ran along side the World Pro/Am Dancesport Series and commenced with the Grand Finale and Team Match at the Ohio Star Ball in November 2014.

And this year, we are proud to announce that the Fordney Foundation has become a sponsor of American DanceWheels Foundation! Their support will assist our dancers in participating in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada. The Pan American Games are the third largest sporting event in the world, and our dancers are thrilled to be part of this experience! Thank you Marilyn Fordney and the Fordney Foundation! Stay tuned for more details about our participation in this event, and in the meantime, learn more about the Fordney Foundation by visiting www.fordneyfoundation.org.
